Friday Happy!

Happy Friday my lovely readers. Today is a great day. I'm smiling from ear to ear and as most of us I am fully embracing today as the last day of the week. Fridays are awesome. Yeah! I think it is definitely time to share what made me happy this week. It's a great way to sum up any week and smile at the little things. So here we go...

1. Luna and Lilee, my fur babies!
2. Raindrops
3. Quantico
4. Meatloaf!
5. Driving and feeling more independent
6. My favorite neighborhood and its terrific Halloween decoration
7. "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" by Meghan Trainor and John Legend
8. Less pain
9. Black and orange nailpolish
10. Clouds!

What made you happy this week? Share it...even if it is just one thing that made you smile. I'm sure Krysten and Lindsay would love to read it. I'm linking up with these awesome ladies again...so come and join the fun! :)

Happy Friday!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Promise Yourself

Promise yourself...

To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.”

Christian D. LarsonYour Forces and How to Use Them

Sometimes we need inspiration; to move on, to conquer a fear, to take the next step, or to even quit a habit. Books are inspirational. When you find a passage in a book that speaks to you and your current life it feels like a door full of opportunities opens itself up to you. This is what made me get up this week, and look at the positive side in life, cherish everything and not dwell in the past. This is what made me laugh. This made me nod, and look outside the box I am still trapped in. I love it. It fits and it certainly fits a Thursday morning!

Am I the only one finding passages or just a sentence or two in books inspirational?!
I love books, their stories and motivational lines. Cannot wait to start my next book.

Dry Skin and Lazy? No Problem...Curel Won't Disappoint

A couple of weeks ago I received a moisturizing spray and body wash by Curel Itch Defense. I have to admit I was running out of body lotion so this arrived at the best time. Also, I can be pretty lazy in the morning. Sometimes I just don't have the time to dry my body, put on lotion, wait, and then put my clothes on and start the day. I often skip the art of moisturizing my precious skin. I know it's not good but I am only human. It happens.

When I was sent this spray I was super stoked. Just dry your skin, spray on, rub/massage in and go. Perfect. Also, since it's Curel's Itch Defense it is made for extra dry skin that can itch. A change in season always means that our skin changes too. My skin is really dry in general so when it gets colder and dryer {although it's been super dry where we live...so it gets even worse} my skin is yelling at me. It hates me. It itches, and yes, I will scratch back.

Itch Defense by Curel has helped me keep up with my morning routine, and my hands away from scratching my skin. My skin has felt moisturized and healthier. It isn't greasy at all. Its scent is decent and not too overpowering. I prefer something that doesn't smell all day but keeps my skin happy. Also, combining the body wash and the lotion is a perfect way to start my day. I feel clean and my skin feels happy and healthy. I have tried a few lotions and most leave me either very greasy, or their scent evaporates fast or becomes smelly. No one wants that.

Verdict: I will give Curel Itch Defense five out of five points!!!! Easy to apply, leaves my skin moisturized all day and smells fresh rather than flowery overpowering. PLUS, my skin does not itch anymore. Total win.

Weekly Hopes {13}

Happy Monday my lovelies.
How was your weekend?! Mine? It was pretty fantastic.
Let's just say instead of going to a pumpkin patch we found our kitty match and adopted two cutie pies. Screw the pumpkins...the kitties are much cuter and last longer, too. I will miss our pumpkin carving time {although you never know...we may still go and pick two but I doubt it}, but I am very happy with our addition to our little family. Even though I am very happy with our two girlies, there are still a few things I am looking forward to this week...here it goes:

1 - Possible rain. California needs it.
2 - Doctor appointments...for me and the felines.
3 - A day trip to see the family in Nevada; with the kitties. They love to travel and have been back and forth to Southern California quite a lot...so happy about that.
4 - Meatloaf for dinner.
5 - Another much needed massage on Thursday.
6 - My StitchFix arrival...cannot wait to see what my stylist chose for me this time!
7 - Halloween decorations all over town.
8 - Hocus Pocus.
9 - SLEEP!!! No idea but I am exhausted.
10 - Getting our new couch!!! Finally!

This week will be fun. I can already tell. I have to send a few emails out, write and share reviews, and organize a few things but it will be a fun week. No exams for the hubs, no job drama, no stress...just a few appointments, a massage, fun neighborhoods, and a get together with family. It's going to be a great week. Plus, they say it may rain on Wednesday?! YES please. Also, when we go see the in-laws I can finally wear my fall boots...I have been waiting for this for so long. Pretty ridiculously long. :)

Hope your week starts out with beautifully as well.
Sending you some sunshine if you are tired of the rain...just send it to us here in dry-land California. Thank you in advance.

xoxo

P.s. More on our family addition soon....cannot wait to share some fun stuff with you all.

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!
It's been a week full of ups and downs again. That is what life is all about, isn't it? Wouldn't it be boring if we knew what to expect each day or each week? I think it would. I'd rather not know what to expect than to dread the sad or disappointing moments.

This week has been good. Good is always welcome in my daily vocabulary. It's a great word. It's very positive, simple, and straight-forward. Like most Fridays I want to share with you what made me happy this week. I am linking up with the fabulous Krysten and Lindsay who host this fun link-up. It's a way for all of us to reflect back on what went on in our lives, and look at the positive, good,  and happy moments rather than at the sad and dark ones.

This is what made me happy this week...

1. Holding kittens.
2. Orange and clove diffused together. Perfect for this fall season.
3. Cooler temperatures! FINALLY. {It's still in the lower 80s though}
4. Better and more sleep.
5. More regular driving for me.
6. Hugs.
7. Massages.
8. Getting rid of our old couch. Bye bye!
9. Tomatoes growing like crazy.
10. Halloween decoration.

It's been a good week. Let this weekend begin and make it a fabulous one!! I am so ready.
What are you happy about this week?!

Stuff & Things

It is so good to see you, Thursday!!!
Seriously guys, I have been looking forward to Thursday. I dread the early morning drive to school {I am chauffeuring B as he will be still halfway asleep and no one should drive while sleepy!}, but Thursday afternoons are my favorites. I get to spend some time with my favorite person, or drag my butt to Target and NOT buy a thing there {yeah, right!}, or I get to watch a movie, sip on coffee or tea and just enjoy the day. It is our Friday. It's a fun day.

Happy Thursday my lovely readers.

It's been a while that I chose to post on a Thursday. I feel every time I want to post or write I get distracted, sick, exhausted, overwhelmed, and well, just plain lazy. So I usually forget to even open the computer and start writing. I know, I know. Also, I am behind blog reading...so if you are pregnant, engaged, cooking something new, found the best nail polish or cheapest and cutest outfit ever I might have not seen it yet. Bear with me. Life happens, and it's okay.

Thursdays...you know, it's that kind of day I am not so sure about. I love it. It's our Friday, and it's one step closer to the weekend. I need to rest this weekend. I could rest all week long if I chose to but I can't and don't, so this weekend...yes, I'm going to sleep in and rest. I need rest. I need to find peace within me. So, I I look at Thursday as a reminder that I must focus on myself, find happiness again, choose happiness, and most importantly find peace.

It's now over five and a half months since my mom passed. It's still so fresh. It's not as fresh as it was this summer, and most of the time this summer I blocked it all out. It's still fresh though. It haunts me. I wish she would have been sick, or would have told me she was sick years ago, so I and everyone else could have been more prepared, could have been less shocked and less astonished at the sad news I had to deliver. Then again, an accident or just sudden healthy death {I know, it's a morbid topic} would have been equally as bad, that is, if not even worse. Either way, she's gone. I can no longer call her and ask her for advice. I can no longer get that link between my life and her life, this country and culture and the country and culture I grew up in. I will not receive random care packages filled with sweets I love and can't get over here. I will not receive funky facebook messages or comments anymore. I will no longer have to explain how certain things work and why they don't work. It's just what it is. I am relieved at the same time. No more stressful skype dates that leave me with confusion. No more trying to convince her she's not being replaced, not loved, not missed, and not wanted. I have wrestled a lot this summer, even until today. I am now in that stage that allows me or more likely forces me to accept that our relationship was close yet flawed. She loved me, was most probably proud of me but at the same time tried to work her magic on me...even until I had to say my final good-bye. Don't get me wrong, she's my mom and loved her. I don't how she did the things she did. I also know that not everything was great. There's a reason for everything. A reason for her to let me leave, a reason for wanting to leave in the first place, a reason why I chose to live so far away, a reason why I visited so often, and also a reason I had to return this year when I did. Five and a half months...so much can happen, so much can just stay as it is.

There's about three to five more drafts waiting to be either deleted or published. I decided I let fate take its course. If I feel it is time to publish I will, and if not, I delete the entries. Writing always helps. Such a therapeutic experience.

Also, while I am talking about therapeutic experiences you might have read that we are planning on adopting or getting a pet. We are thinking of two kittens. Yes, two. We were not that lucky on Tuesday when we learned that the ones we had "on hold" were getting weaker and sicker. Hmmm, no. We felt bad for the little ones but had to withdraw our application as we were told that it would not be the best for either side. Great. Yet, we are determined to find the right pair. Again, there's a reason we couldn't get the ones we had our eyes on for over a month. There is a reason they were getting sick {I hope they survive}. There's going to be a better fit for us out there, all we have to be is patient.

And once we find our match we can high five our fur babies...

Have a great Thursday. Sorry for the downer earlier. I had to vent.
Let me know get started with this beautiful new day.

xoxo

My Pet Peeves

Everyone has pet peeves. Everything has certain things that bother them, irk them, make them cringe at the thought of it...you know, the moment you get goose bumps out of nowhere when you hear, see, feel, or taste something that goes against what feels right to you. Today, I am sharing with you what makes me irk the most.

1. People who wear socks in sandals. Seriously, you either wear socks in shoes, or no socks in sandals. A combination is just downright wrong. Also "I have to wear in my sandals" or " I get blisters easily" or "it was more comfortable that way" is NOT an excuse. Prone to blisters? Wear different shoes or wear them in at home, privately. Don't even say it was more comfortable...just don't. It doesn't make any sense because all you refer to is wearing socks as more comfortable, then do it but with a proper pair of sneakers.

2. People who chew with their mouth open. It not only ruins the meal for me, it shows they don't have any proper table manners whatsoever. No one wants to see what your adding to your mouth, nor do we want to hear those sounds. Gross.

3. People who cannot hold or do not want to hold their fork and knife correctly. Call me snobbish but a fork is not a screwdriver. Do not hold it like one. Do not hold your knife with a weirdly angled hand either. It hurts my eyes. It also looks like you want to butcher your meal. Just no.

4. People using speakerphones in public. I really don't want to listen to your phone conversation, private or work related, especially not when I am sitting three feet away from you in a restaurant for example. No. Use your legs, walk outside, and make that call. Use your headphones if you cannot leave at all, but then again, if you are in a restaurant your phone should be tugged away in your purse or so...because, really, give your phone a break and enjoy your meal. Plus, really...be considerate of other people's space and time.

5. The constant urge to share everything with everyone. You do not have to share everything on social media. You do not have to belong to every social media outlet. You cannot and will not be able to keep up. Plus, no one wants to see videos that are crooked, loud, have drunk people in them, weird sounds coming from whatever direction, and non-sense coming our way. Sorry. No. Grow up.

6. Inconsiderate people. Enough said. Just grow up. Don't act as if you are 16 because you are not a kid anymore. Show manners, behave, and use your normal voice. Plus, please, don't scream when something excites you...you can be excited, even have a tad bit of a louder voice but there's no need to scream. YES, if you are at a game by all means, share your happiness. If you are at a club or in public somewhere and get excited about something be considerate. There are people out there that do not share your enthusiasm, or want to sleep, or want to talk, or want a quiet moment, or want to enjoy a nice date. Think before you act stupid, you are not always in your own living room!

7. False promises. You promise to do something, do it. You tell me we will go some place or meet up or what not...and all of that fails because, well, you had better things to do?! You can do this to me once; twice, not sure if I fall for it again. The constant canceling is annoying. You got to earn my trust back. Cannot stand false promises. They are full of fluff and air.

8. The noise we hear when someone rubs his/her fingers on balloons. Really, do I have to say more?

9. People who do not pick up after their dogs. Just gross. Move your lazy butt, clean up after your so-called beloved fur baby, and go on with your life. You don't want to step on poop, neither do your neighbors, friends, relatives or your kids. Seriously.

10. People who do not pay attention to their partners when in a conversation. Is it really that hard to put down the phone and focus on the person in front of you?! Your dumb facebook entry can wait, your retweet because you are too lazy to type something yourself can wait, the snap chats can wait {they will still be available in 30 seconds, don't worry; if not, you will not die, I promise}, the 1530+ emails you never responded to can wait a minute longer because, well, you do not care about them in the first place otherwise you'd have only five unanswered ones...put the phone away, pause the show, pause the game, put the newspaper down {unfortunately, most people these days do not even read it anymore}, and solely focus on the person who is in front of you trying to talk to you. Worst part? When I see people at a restaurant. It is okay to take photos of the food but there is no need to instagram or check emails right away; do that later on. No one cares at that moment. Just pay attention to the people around you, especially when they want to have a conversation with you.

*****

I have more. However, that is for another time. If you think I am mean by sharing this....well, it's honesty. Honesty should count. Plus, let's really be clear here...we all have pet peeves, we all have things that irk us, bother us, and sometimes we say something about it, sometimes we let it be. Whichever way you choose to handle your pet peeves is up to you. I usually let them be especially when they do not concern me. Yet, if my partner sits next to me and we are in a conversation and he out of nowhere grabs his phone and starts checking some stupid stuff on there I get upset. He'd get upset too if I did that to him. Ugh, just typing this made me upset...hahaha.

Seriously, we all have pet peeves; we are only human. It's all natural. No need to get upset by reading what I don't like...because I am sure if I read yours I wouldn't understand half of your disliked things either.

So, with that...what are some of your pet peeves?

Weekly Hopes {12}

Hi guys,
I'm a bit off these days...so have to focus more and schedule things accordingly. It's one of those weeks again. Good thing though is I had a great weekend spent with family and fur babies. Lots and lots of doggie kisses helped heal my sad heart. So, without further ado here's what I am hoping this week will happen...

1 - A cleaner place...lately we have been slacking...I blame the new schedule and the recent trip. Ugh.
2 - Working on my inflamed muscles in my neck&on my back...so stupid, and so connected. It hurts.
3 - Getting a doctor's appointment.
4 - A trip to the animal shelter again - we are ready to adopt; let's hope we find a match.
5 - Going to a pumpkin patch. Finally.
6 - Getting rid of our old couch! YES!
7 - Catching up on emails, blogs, and packages...still need to send a box.
8 - Getting more accomplished this week...
9 - Hoping this second week of a new schedule will be easier than last week's.

Guys...a new schedule is one thing...but seeing my man walking around like a zombie barely talking to me, barely talking to anyone but his cereal bowl? That is depressing. I feel bad for him. He seems to like his new hours though but not the adjustment to a new life schedule. Let's hope this second week goes more smoothly than last week. I would really like to be able to talk to him again.

Happy Monday to all of you out there.
I'm going to be getting my butt moving and hopefully get lots of stuff done this week. Wish me luck!

Hope your week starts off beautifully!

xoxo

Bright - Orange

October means orange. No?! To me it does.

Honestly, I am not a huge orange lover. The fruit or color. Yes, I don't like oranges. I have to admit when I end up eating a juicy and sweet orange I love it but the citrus acid sting...yeah, not my thing. However, the color is amazing. It's bright. It's fresh. It's just so October! Plus, hello....I love pumpkins. For decoration and carving purposes only!

Untitled #115

Oh yes, so getting this jug. So getting this...maybe even in orange, maybe in another color. I'm so excited October is here and I have finally an excuse to wear my orange nail polish again. I hope it's still okay. Haven't used it in months...well, one full year to be exact. It will still be fantastic on my nails. I can feel it.

Have an amazing day!
Feeling orange inspired as well?!

Weekly Hopes {11}

Good morning!
How was your weekend?! Mine was very mellow...meaning me on the couch, TV on, iPad on, lots of fluids, tissues, oils, lotions, and lots and lots of naps. Just the usual. It's what it is. Life happens. My grieving process involves being slightly sick...but hey it's okay. I have to flush out all those toxins, drinks lots of happy potions and then kick some butt again. I will not suffer any longer. Stupid stupid grief. Go away!!

Here's what I hope for this week to happen...all of the happy moments...

1 - More sleep
2 - No more sniffles
3 - An easy adjustment to my man's new schedule
4 - More fall weather {hello, I want to wear my boots!!}
5 - Starting a new book...haven't decided which one yet
6 - A possible day-trip to see the in-laws
7 - Homemade apple crisp
8 - A new haircut

It's the little things. I'm hoping that this week will be easy, and falls into a routine we both can live with. B's schedule changed. Not sure if it's a good thing. We both have mixed feelings about it. I just told him that he can try it and see how it goes. If he can tolerate it, if he likes his new hours, then yes, why not. If not, he can always go back and get his old hours back. Nothing changes. Pay and the amount of hours remain the same; just the shift shifts. Ha!

We will see how it goes. I am just insanely fortunate to be living my life with him, and to share every moment of my life with him. It's crazy. My dream has come true. Just a few more things have to happen and we can be even more happy. We seize each day, make the best of it, and take nothing for granted!

Hope your week goes by smoothly!!

Go and smile, even when you least feel like it!

My Friday Happies

Happy Friday everyone!

This week has been interesting to say the least. I cannot believe we are almost hitting mid-October!!! This means Halloween is around the corner, you guys! Crazy!!! Anyways...to sum this week up, here's my happy list. And, as always when I share my Friday Happy List I am linking up with Krysten and Lindsay! Stop on by as well, it's a fun link-up! So here are the ten things that made me happy this week:

1. Therapy session. So powerful and enlightening!
2. Sweet iced tea
3. Halloween movies
4. Crock pot recipes
5. Skype date with my best friend in Switzerland
6. Seeing Fluffy!! It was an awesome date night
7. Laughter - thanks Fluffy!
8. The Vampire Diaries {I'm a dork, I know}
9. Improvement in my man's German skills {so proud of him!}
10. Apples

This week has been interesting. It cooled down and still feels insanely hot. I don't know if I need a jacket or just a cardigan at night or not. If I don't bring it with me I think I'm getting sick. Got my first sore throat of this season...but I have my natural remedies. Also, I learned that laughter is truly healing. It's quite interesting. I always knew it was powerful until I felt it. For months I have had this tense left shoulder blade and it just bothers me. Also, my neck wasn't the best. So Sunday, while listening to awesome jokes and stories at the show {see #6} I of course felt ready enough to laugh. After a while it all popped...hurt a lot but the pop helped. The pain is almost gone. Almost. Still there but less intense. I so need to lighten up, and loosen up...RELAX!!

Hope your Friday is a great one...and that your weekend will be even more fun!!
I'm having my popcorn ready tonight for more Halloween movies, so excited about that!

xoxo

Currently

Today is the day I want to start being a bit more personal on here. After all, this is my personal blog and called Crazy Little World Of Mine...it's all about my world, my life, and well, myself. So I thought I'd jump into this Currently theme...always wanted to do this and never had the guts {who knows why not}. And if you think the photo looks familiar...yes, it's the original shot of my Monday's Weekly Hope Series. I promise I won't always use the same photo but this week I felt it was an appropriate one.

Thinking about: What to get my family for Christmas. Last year was intense you guys. I mean, I did not expect to get so many presents, yet, obviously loved it. We exchanged Christmas wishlists, and we added a few things to those lists as surprises as well. However, I was not prepared for all the goodies...so this year I shall be prepared in full force. So...definitely thinking about Christmas!

Listening: Spotify; random country music. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of country BUT I came to enjoy it because it keeps me relaxed and somewhat motivated. Best part? I can actually sing along, so why not. Plus, some of the songs are very catchy...I am all for it.

Watching: Castle. I'm watching Monday's show. Yes, I know I am two days behind but hey, at least I am not two months behind. Just saying.

Reading: Blogs I have to catch up on. I feel bad for not reading them at times when they are written or at least posted but life complicates things at times, and those things force me to stay off the web and off the blogosphere. Yet, it's time to catch up.

Loving: The fact that I actually feel a difference in my mood, and in my body. Feels amazing. It'll take some time until I feel a lot less anxious and a lot less "off", but just knowing that I can feel a difference and my favorite person sees a difference...this means the world to me! I love it!

Planning: A trip to a Pumpkin Patch. I love pumpkins, and we need pumpkins in our home. Plus, I want to get my own one and not buy it at the grocery store. I need the challenge. Haha!

So what's up with you?!

Cutest Planners for 2016

http://www.target.com/p/at-a-glance-watercolors-weekly-monthly-planner-8-1-2-x-11-watercolors-2016/-/A-16625108?ref=tgt_adv_XSP10002&AFID=polyvore_df&LNM=16625108&CPNG=Seasonal&LID=20pdf&ci_src=426179448&ci_sku=16625108
2016 is pretty much around the corner, you guys!! And as a blogger, housewife, organizer, and a girl who loves anything pretty it is time to look for new planners or journals for the new year. I don't know about you but I look at a year starting January 1 and ending December 31, so I like my journal to start January 1 and not some time in July or August. Anything starting not on January 1 looks and feels just weird to me. It is not easy to find those fully one-year planners but I know I will. Plus, the sooner you look the better, because before you know it December 20th happens to come around and then you realize you not only have to find a last-minute gift for your mother-in-law or friend or co-workers but also find a new planner because you were too busy doing anything else like hang up holiday decorations.

Personally I go for the cutest and cheapest, and one that has enough space for me to write stuff in. I swoon over a lot of planners but usually end up at Target and get one around $10. As long as it's pretty, colorful, inviting, and reasonably priced I am okay with it. Don't get me wrong, I love those $80-planners and I can afford them too but then look at the whole picture. Do I really need an expensive, and yes cute, planner when the cheaper version works just a fine? I don't. I'd rather save those 70+ bucks and spend them on a new outfit or bag or pair of shoes I know I won't throw or put away after one year. Or, hello? I put those extra dollars into my savings account, or use it for a last-minute surprise gift for my favorite person. The list is endless.

Also, in case you didn't get enough of planners PaperSource, Erin Condren, and Etsy are fun places to look for more planner inspiration. I simply cannot get enough. Yes, I am slightly obsessed. I am literally stalking these websites to get inspired and find a way to get the best deal out of them. So many options!! So much fun!!!

Are you using planners?
What are you specifically looking for in a planner? Color? Size? Space?
And most importantly...have you gotten your new planner yet?!

I certainly have not...and it is time I get my butt going...

Weekly Hopes {10}

Good morning everyone!
I seriously had the weirdest and best weekend ever. I finally, finally, finally got my dates right. Seriously. Last week I thought Wednesday was Tuesday, Thursday was Wednesday, and Saturday was Friday. I was always a day behind. I don't know what happened. It didn't feel weird though, just confused the heck out of me because when I wanted to join a link up I totally missed the day. I guess my brain was all over the place. I am just glad a new week starts today so I can focus on being better and hoping for a fun and colorful fall season!

This week I am hoping for...

1 - Getting my dates and days correct {not like last week}
2 - No more coughing, sneezing, and heavy head-like feelings
3 - More energy
4 - Fresh tomatoes from our tomato plants
5 - Finally sending a birthday gift away....my friend's bday was two weeks ago {oops!}
6 - Hot apple cider
7 - Receiving a check in the mail...I worked hard for that...give me the money!!
8 - New recipes to try

You know it's funny...a couple of nights ago we realized that I have finally started to change for the better. Grief is a strong emotion that stays with you forever. It changes you. I am still me, but I am much slower and not so motivated at times. Months ago I was all over new recipes, new things to do or to discover. It's taken me about five to six months to get back into trying new recipes. By that I mean, even looking for one in a book, online, on apps, etc. I even deleted cooking shows I had on my DVR. I think, my grief period started in April when I knew something wasn't right and could end up in the unthinkable. So I blocked every happy mode I could possibly feel for months...those happy modes are slowly returning. So, I am sooooo hoping to try new recipes this week. A new easy side dish would be perfect; it doesn't have to be a full on heavy meal...so wish me luck!! And hopefully I won't forget to take photos so I can share with you.

Happy Monday!

What are you looking forward to this week?! AND don't tell me it's only Friday!!

xoxo

October 1, 2015

Hello October

http://politicaldresser.com/fashion/how-to/868-how-to-have-lucid-dreams

Three more months and this year will be history. Crazy how fast this year went by. Scary, too. I am very happy to see this month today. It not only shows me that time passes, it also shows me how much I have healed since May. Plus, this month I would like to start fresh, start new...or at least start with an uplifting spirit. Every day, every minute.

This month will be fun, too.

We have tickets to a stand up comedy show of one of our favorite comedians. We have plans to meet up with friends from SoCal {I hope it works out}, and we have plans to go to pumpkin patches, to an annual festival in a nearby town, and we have definitely plans to enjoy this month in full length and spirit {see my post on fall traditions}...after all it is one of my favorites. Seeing leaves change color, feeling a cooler breeze, and tasting more fall/wintery drinks and foods...that is my favorite part. Oh, and I can finally wear all those scarves I have and my new boots!!! Hello for new boots {ones that actually fit my short legs!}.

Dear October,
Thank you for showing up...please bring us some cooler temps, and a month filled with happiness and love. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Me
